SECOND TRIAL judging will begin 30 minutes after conclusion of first trial
Entry Fees: Pre-Entry/Move Up-$15. Day of Trial-$20.

Breeds recognized by the AWTA:
For the purpose of AWTA den trials an earth breed is one of the correct size and character to enter a nine-inch artificial earth (tunnel). The AWTA recognizes these breeds for competition in den trials: Australian,Bedlington, Border, Cairn, Cesky, Dandie Dinmont, Fell, Fox, Glen of Imaal, Jack Russell, Jagd, Lakeland, Norfolk, Norwich, Patterdale, Scottish, Sealyham, Skye, Welsh, West Highland White Terriers, and Dachshunds. Any individual Feist, Rat terrier, terrier-cross, dachshund-cross or terrier of a breed not mentioned above, who is of suitable size to fit in a nine-inch artificial earth, may also be entered in the den trials.
Class Information:
Novice A: Open to dogs under 12 months that have not previously earned 100% in the Novice Class. Tunnel is ~10 feet long with one right angle turn.
Novice B: Open to dogs12 months and over that have not previously earned 100% in Novice Class. Tunnel is ~10 feet long with one right angle turn.
Open: Open to dogs that have scored 100% in either Novice Class, or have worked in a similar artificial earth, or have worked to ground in a natural earth. Tunnel is ~30 feet long with three right angle turns.
Certificate: Open to dogs that have earned an AWTA Certificate of Gameness (previously or day of trial). Dogs will compete for the top qualifier in each breed. Tunnel is ~30 feet long with three right angle turns.
Per AWTA Rules & Regulations the Certificate class may include additional challenges such as simpleobstacles, blind tunnels, and false entrances.
DOGS LESS THAN 6 MONTHS OLD and BITCHES IN SEASON may not be entered. Entry fee,
less the AWTA fee, will be refunded for bitches in season with Veterinarian certification.Prizes:
Novice: A ribbon is given to each dog that qualifies in Novice A or Novice B
Open: A ribbon and a stainless steel AWTA logo flask are given to each dog that qualifies. The dog will also earn the Certificate of Gameness (mailed after the trial) if the dog owner is a member of the AWTA or becomes a member within 30 days of the trial date. First year membership dues are $20 and applications will be available at the trial. If the owner does not become an AWTA member within 30 days,
the CG is invalid.

Please remember that we are guests at the test site and motels. Cleaning up after your dogs is more than a nice gesture. A report that an exhibitor at this test has abused motel/campground property during this weekend may result in disciplinary action by the club. Clean up supplies will be available at the secretary’s desk
